Day 14 - Timor Leste - Darwin

It was an early morning leave to catch the plan back to Darwin from Dili. Frances was feeling unwell, so the next 2 days in Darwin were mostly spent in the cool comfort of a very nice self-contained unit at the Mantra Pandanus.

We went to the local cinema to see Balibo – an excellent, but disturbing film about the deaths of Australian journalists who were captured and killed whilst reporting on activities just prior to the Indonesian invasion of East Timor  in 1975. 

Seeing the movie was very pertinent, having just spent a week in probably the most interesting country we've ever been to.

We'd thoroughly recommend that you visit Timor Leste, both to support the emerging country and because it's a fantastic place to experience.
